Reminder for all you Meat Heads!

Hey guys, don’t forget about your meat this week!

Bring a cooler or something to bring it home in if you aren’t going straight home :)

The Cows and Chickens Have Come to GOE!

Hello all you meat lovers!

Here’s the details so far on the new meat branch of our CSA…

We are only accepting 75 members for the first quarter. Each quarter (12 weeks) will have three meat deliveries (once a month) consisting of 5-6 lbs. of grass fed beef, 2 free-range chickens and a bi-weekly delivery of a dozen eggs (2 doz. per month).

It will be $265.00 per quarter and the space is available on a first come/first serve basis. So sign up soon! Pledge forms are available at CSA drops and on our website at http://www.goeorganics.com/pledge_form.php

Sign up now and claim your steak!

The cows are coming home!

Hey all you CSA idealist junkies, got some great news for you that you have been asking for for YEARS… save for the veg and vegans among you, you guys need not read further :)

We are going to start distributing grass fed beef, cage-free/free-range chickens and their eggs (chicken eggs, not cow eggs… what kind of weirdos do you think we are?)! Please let us know if you are interested and if so, just how giddy this makes you. We are in the ‘figuring’ stages and need to know what percentage of you guys are stoked on this.

So send us an email at office@goeorganics.com and let us know what you think!

Below is an excerpt from a meeting we just had with our source just to give you a little insight on what to expect:

  • We are involved with our animals from conception to consumption.
  • Any animal requiring antibiotic treatment is removed from slaughter channels.
  • We primarily pasture raise our stock and suppliment only with grass hay and Brewers Mast.(Barley)
  • No Gen Mo Ever! No animal by-products. Hormone free.
  • We selectively breed for production on grass and sell nothing that does not grade choice.
  • Ground meats come from a single animal, not mixed batches.
  • We are shifting our focus toward Heritage breeds because the only way to preserve these animals is to eat them!
  • It doesn’t cost any more to raise something great, it just takes time, management and dedication.
