Vacation Mode

Hey guys, I know its Summertime and beautiful… so this is a reminder of how we deal with weeks you can’t pick your box up.

We now require that you give us 72 hours advance notice if you will not be able to pick up your box. This is because we plan the number of boxes a few days ahead, accounting for harvest time, transportation and all sorts of other logistics it takes to get these boxes together. When we are receiving last minute calls that you can’t make it, we’ve usually begun or finished assembling your box. If you can’t pick up your box and nobody can get it for you and you do not give us 72 hours notice, your box will be donated and you will not receive a refund for that missed week.

If you give us 72 hours notice that you don’t want a box that week, that is great. We will not make you a box and give you an extra week on the end of your contract. There is, however, a limit on how many times you can skip a week without it affecting your contract… here they are:

If you pledge monthly you can miss one week.

If you pledge quarterly you can miss two weeks.

If you pledge annually you can miss four weeks.

Really on the most basic level, there are three people running the GOE show and when dozens of people all summer want weeks off, extended contracts and whatnot, it turns in to a bit of a logistical nightmare. We’re trying to keep it simple :)

Alright, enough for now. Feel free to ask us if you have any questions regarding this stuff! See you this week!

9 July: UCSD, La Mesa and RB Boxes

Hey guys! Courtney here, your friendly GOE blogger… sorry today’s post is late, I just got into my hostel from the interior of Denali National Park in Alaska. I know you’re jealous, that’s why I had to apologise so earnestly… now for what you found in your box today (in case you haven’t figured it out yet)!

FRUIT: grapes, nectarine, oranges, lemon, avocado

VEGGIES: cucumber, lettuce, beets, dill, sorrel, tomatoes, onions

25 June: UCSD, La Mesa and RB Boxes

Please Note: We will be on vacation from July 2nd until the 8th! There will be no deliveries of produce during that time. You will all get that extra week bumped to the end of your contracts, so no worries!

Here’s your goodies today…

Fruit: blueberries, nectarines, dates, oranges, avocado

Veggies: carrots, parsley, mixed greens, kale, squash, beets, snap peas

18 June: Rancho Bernardo Boxes
